Toronto, ON – Racing for H&R Block Pro Cycling Team, Peter Disera comes out on top this past weekend in Toronto at the Red Bull Race The Place. Racing through high winds and poor conditions, Peter worked hard through the day to come out on top with a win at this exciting event.
Taking racers on multiple laps of the 3.4km long track around Ontario Place, the track is a fast, technical circuit featuring tight corners, bridges and narrowing lanes that will force racers to jockey for position along with flat out straightaways that will surely leave legs burning. There were high winds and tough conditions out there as the hurricane weather rolled through the region.
“I’m super pleased with this event. I heard about it last year but didn’t get the chance to come out and compete. RedBull does an amazing job supporting this extraordinary race – by far one of my favourites. I feel right at home with the tight, twisty turns along the bike path at high speed – it is just like my daily commute to school! The extreme wind and rain made the race a little hectic. I believe forcing the breakaway to be established was the right call. Approaching the finish, I jumped in the cross wind before turning into a tailwind, and a short sprint later: Victory!”
