Travis was born in Oshawa, Ontario and has a younger brother. Travis played and competed in a variety of sports that includes; hockey, soccer, basketball, and triathlon before finding a true passion for the sport of cycling. Travis has been riding with the local Peterborough Cycling Club for the past ten years. Within the last six years of racing, Travis has raced under some well known teams and coaches within the sport. Starting with Planet Energy P/B SpiderTech which was the Junior development team of Steve Bauer’s SpiderTech C10 team. Then spending many years under the eye of Mirek Mazur at MazurCoaching / Kallisto clothing, where he road alongside Mark Walters and Peter Mazur. Travis spent a year and a half with the JetFuel Coffee / Norco Bicycles as a U23 before signing a pro stagiaire contract in August 2014 with South American team Start-Trigon. Travis has plans on going to school within the Business and Finance field while balancing his professional cycling career.
